The day was celebrated with great \u00e9clat. The school building was beautifully decorated with tricolors. To fly the national flag is a sign of pride and patriotism. It is a\u00a0positive affirmation of loyalty and commitment. It marks out a country that has confidence in itself and is comfortable with its place in the world, its history, and its future. The event began with the unfurling of the National Flag followed by the National Anthem.\u00a0 The patriotic song Vande Mataram played a vital role in\u00a0the Indian independence movement, first sung in a political context by Rabindranath Tagore at the 1896 session of the Indian National Congress. It became a popular song for political activism and the Indian freedom movement in 1905. The teachers recreated the aura of patriotism with this song.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A soldier\u2019s message to his countrymen was conveyed by a solo performance by one of the teachers. The importance and special features of the Constitution were brought to light. Last but not least Kishore Sir illuminated the audience with his words. Every beginning has an end and therefore the event concluded with a vote of thanks.
