2nd Inter School Swimming Competition 2025-26

The Second Inter-School Swimming Competition was held with great zeal and excitement at Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Alambagh Campus. Organised by the school’s Sports Department, the event brought together numerous leading schools from across the city, each represented by their most talented swimmers. The competition celebrated not only sporting skill but also the spirit of teamwork, discipline, and determination.

The day began with a grand inaugural ceremony, graced by the presence of Mr. Satyam Sahai, the Iron Man of India, who officially declared the event open. His inspiring presence and motivational words instilled a sense of courage and ambition in the young participants. Quoting the essence of the sport, he remarked, “Swimming is not just a sport; it’s a discipline, a commitment, and a journey toward mastering the body and the mind.” The principal, Ms. Gunjan Danani, warmly welcomed the chief guest, participating schools, and spectators. She emphasised the importance of sports in building character and resilience among students.

The competition featured a wide array of swimming events including freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly strokes, conducted over distances of 50m, 100m, and 200m. The relay events, such as the 4x50m freestyle and medley relays, were among the most thrilling, drawing loud cheers and applause from the audience. Students competed in three age groups — Under-10,Under-14, Under-16, and Under-18 — and demonstrated extraordinary stamina, technique, and sportsmanship.

As the races unfolded, the pool came alive with vibrant energy. Every stroke and turn reminded the audience of the powerful quote: “The water is your friend. You don’t have to fight with water, just share the same spirit as the water, and it will help you move.” Many participants achieved personal bests, and some even set new records in their respective categories.

The school with the highest overall score was awarded the Overall Championship Trophy, while individual winners received medals and certificates in recognition of their performances. Special awards were also given to the Best Swimmer (Boys) and Best Swimmer (Girls) for their exceptional achievements throughout the day.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of the organising team, coaches, volunteers, and supporting staff. The atmosphere was one of pride and celebration, as students left with not just trophies and certificates, but also a renewed love for the sport. As one banner at the venue read, “Swimmers don’t just chase medals, they chase the calm in the chaos.”

The Second Inter-School Swimming Competition at Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Alambagh Campus was a grand success — a true celebration of talent, dedication, and the undying spirit of sportsmanship.
