Janmashtami Celebration

“Whatever happened, happened for the good
Whatever is happening, is happening for the good
Whatever will happen, will happen for the good”
– Lord Krishna, Bhaghwat Gita

Sweeter than honey, tastier than curd, pleasanter indeed than any happiness, , is the power of Lord Krishna’s name. Janmashtami is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Krishna, one of the most powerful and famous reincarnations of Lord Vishnu. This day indicates the beginning of hope in the old times; hope that the malicious rule of Kansa would soon end.

To seek the blessings of Lord Krishna, Janmashtami was celebrated at Seth Anandram Jaipuria School Alambagh Campus on September 2nd, 2023, with mirth and joy. The fragrance of flowers, the soothing aroma of camphor, and the jingle of bells filled the air.. It signified excitement, euphoria, and a joyous spirit of enthralment. It brought devotion, creativity, enjoyment, and fun all together. Ms. Gunjan Danani, the esteemed Principal of the School elucidated the children with the real essence of the festival . The celebration began by offering homage to Lord Ganesh by a beautiful performance depicting Ganesh Vandana. On this occasion, “Dahi handi” programme was also organised. The students also presented the mesmerising story of Lord Krishna and Yoshoda Maiya. The most significant event of the programme was “Dahi Handi”, in which the students participated fervently. The dance and song presentation by the toddlers was the cherry on the cake. Students dressed as Lord Krishna, Yashoda maiya, and many others looked graceful as they performed.

The programme ended with a vote of thanks by the Principal , where she thanked all the students and faculty for their support in making the Janmashtami celebration a grand success.
