Annual Sports Day- URJA’23

Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Alambagh Campus, hosted the much awaited Annual Sports Day, URJA, on 13th December 2023, on the sprawling grounds of the school. The afternoon was filled with great zeal, excitement and frolicsome atmosphere. The Annual Sports Day was held for grades Pre Nursery to X. Their parents were cordially invited to the event. The day was graced by the presence of Mr. Javeed Ahmad, retired IPS,DGP of Uttar Pradesh. His powerful words acted like a fuel and motivated the students to perform the best. The Chairman of the School, Mr. Kishore Mehrotra left no stone unturned to make the students self-motivated, independent, confident decision makers and to take up leadership roles in the future, with his illuminating words.

The lightening of the torch after the March Past Drill brought true illumination to the school. March Past of the four distinguished houses namely- Krishna, Godavari, Ganga and Narmada marched contingently on the school ground depicting true vigour and finesse.

The day commenced with the students participating in a great amalgamation of track and field events and some interesting yet fun races. They tested their strength in various events such as the track event, Cycling event, Obstacle race, Skipping race, the very interesting Crawl race, and the HulaHoop race.

The energetic and nimble-footed participants performed and won the various events with flying colours. It was a wonderful display of agility, coordination, strength and stamina by the Jaipurians in various events such as the track events, Relay, Cycling race, and the Hurdles race for girls and boys.

The students also showcased their skills with drill performances. Skating, Pom Pom Dance, Dupatta Drill,Flower Drill, Basketball Drill, Umbrella Drill were the cherry on the cake.

Last but not the least the housekeeping department participated in various races and enjoyed thoroughly.

The zealous parents, gathered in large numbers, constantly applauded the enthusiastic young sports stars.

Our Principal, Ms. Gunjan Danani rewarded the winners with medals and certificates and congratulated them for their victory. The Indian Flag formed for the grand finale by the students of class VI-X was spectacular. The Principal of the school ensured to provide a transformative educational experience that equips students with the necessary skills, knowledge, and values to make their lives worthy.

The event continuously laid the importance of sports in a child’s life, physical and mental development. It was a day filled with sportsmanship, enthusiasm and memories to cherish. The sports day was a resounding success, celebrating the spirit of competition, camaraderie, and personal growth. It provided a platform for athletes to showcase their talent, break records, and inspire others with their achievements. The event left a lasting impression on participants and spectators alike, reminding everyone of the power of sports to bring people together and foster a sense of unity. With its electrifying atmosphere and unforgettable moments, the sports day marked a truly memorable and grand occasion.
