Visit To An Old Age Home

“Help support and care for the bodies of your elderly parents, because it’s the only body they have to live in.”

Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Alambagh Campus organised a trip to an Old Age Home for students of class VIII and IX on 1st May 2024. Mrs. Gunjan Danani , the Principal of the School encouraged the students to actively participate in the cause. She along with around 15 students, 2 teachers were greeted by a representative of the Old Age Home who gave a brief description of the home and those residing there. All students got the opportunity to have a face to face talk with the residents of the home who hailed from different parts of India and were from diverse backgrounds. Interacting with them made the students know about their past, the hardships they were enduring in life and their experiences. The students were sensitised towards the needs of the elderly. They realised that all that the elderly needed was a little understanding, a sympathetic ear to listen to their stories, company of their loved ones and some amount of care. The elderly blessed the students and expressed their gratitude for paying them a visit.
