Friendship Day Activity
“Friendship improves happiness and abates misery, by the doubling of our joy and the dividing of our grief.” – Marcus Tullius Cicero
It is said true friendship is the greatest of all blessings. Students of Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Alambagh campus celebrated Friendship Day by exchanging friendship bands and handmade cards to strengthen the bond of affection. The Principal of the school Ms.Gunjan Danani motivated the students to foster the feeling of friendship. The day started with our adorable kids wishing cheerily their classmates “A happy friendship day”. The gleaming eyes and the wide smiles were enough to melt everyone’s heart. After the heart greetings, they sat down to discuss the real meaning of friendship. The children discussed what it is like to be someone’s friend and understanding the bond that two friends share. They made beautiful cards with heart touching messages. They also shared other ways of celebrating the day by having a video call, sending a picture of the card across, reciting a poem on friendship, making a friendship band and waiting to give it to their friends once they meet. It was a beautiful and emotional moment for everyone. The art department took the lead in conducting activities that gave a chance to students to express their feelings for their friends. The activities displayed fervour of colours and words. The tweenies’ made creative bands and exchanged bands with their friends to celebrate their friendship and valuable bond. A greeting card expresses all the human emotions, joy, thanks, sympathy, humour, love and admiration. It allows us to connect on an emotional level with the people who have touched our lives. Under the teacher’s guidance, the students made innovative greeting cards. The tiny cards made by children were full of expressions projecting the importance of friends in their lives The noble idea of honouring friends and friendship has really caught on with the youth in India and one can see the occasion being enthusiastically celebrated by the youth especially, students. Having a best friend by your side is one of the best gifts you can ever get from God.
