Rakshabandhan Celebration
Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Alambagh Campus, celebrated Rakshabandhan with immense enthusiasm and cultural fervour. The event was a wonderful opportunity for students to embrace the spirit of love, care, and protection that this traditional festival symbolises.
The celebration began with an introductory speech by the school principal,Ms. Gunjan Danani , who emphasised the significance of Rakshabandhan as a festival that reinforces the bond between brothers and sisters. The principal also encouraged students to uphold the values of love, respect, and unity, which are the foundation of this festival.
The students of the primary and middle sections were actively involved in a variety of performances that highlighted the essence of the festival. The event featured a colourful cultural program, including classical and folk dances, melodious songs, and a heartwarming skit that depicted the legendary stories associated with Rakshabandhan.
A Rakhi-making competition was also organised, where students showcased their artistic talents by crafting beautiful and creative Rakhis. The competition saw enthusiastic participation, and the Rakhis were later tied by the girls on the wrists of the boys, symbolising the bond of love and protection. The boys, in return, promised to stand by their sisters in every situation, fostering a sense of responsibility and care.
To add a personal touch to the celebration, a few teachers and students shared their experiences and stories related to Rakshabandhan, making the event more meaningful and engaging. These stories served as a reminder of the deep-rooted cultural significance of the festival in Indian society.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by the Head Girl, who acknowledged the efforts of the students, teachers, and staff in making the event a grand success. The Rakshabandhan celebration at Seth Anandram Jaipuria School was a joyous occasion that brought together students and teachers in a spirit of unity and shared values.
