Blue Day Celebration
The pre-primary section of Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Alambagh Campus, celebrated Blue Day on Saturday, 14th September 2024, with great excitement and creativity. Under the meticulous guidance of our esteemed Principal, Mrs. Gunjan Danani, the event was a joyful learning experience for the children, designed to enhance their understanding of the colour blue through engaging activities.
The day kicked off with an energetic and interactive Blue Day Song. The children, along with Principal Ma’am, sang and danced to the rhythm, learning about the colour blue in a fun, lively manner. The song, chosen for its simplicity and repetitive lyrics, made it easy for the young children to follow, ensuring maximum participation and enjoyment.
To further reinforce the concept, the classrooms were adorned with various blue-themed objects. Blue balls, blocks, books, boats, fishes, and toys were displayed, helping the children visually associate different items with the colour blue. This activity also enhanced their observational skills, as they explored the different shades and objects connected to the theme.
A key highlight of the event was the finger-painting activity, where the children used blue paint to create raindrops and other imaginative designs. This hands-on activity not only helped them grasp the concept of blue but also developed their fine motor skills, creativity, and sensory awareness.
The classrooms were beautifully decorated with blue streamers, balloons, and banners, creating a vibrant and festive environment. This blue-themed setup maintained the focus of the day, ensuring that every corner of the room contributed to the learning experience.
A storytelling session featuring books with blue-themed illustrations and characters followed, allowing the children to connect the colour blue with real-life contexts. Through storytelling, their understanding of blue was deepened in an engaging and relatable manner.
The Blue Day celebration was a tremendous success, thanks to the thoughtful planning and leadership of Principal Mrs. Gunjan Danani. The children thoroughly enjoyed the activities, and the event was effective in improving their colour recognition, fostering creativity, and making learning a joyful experience.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Principal Ma’am for her unwavering support in making this event a memorable one. We also appreciate the involvement of parents, whose contributions added to the success of this delightful event.
