Children’s Day celebrated with fun and frolic

“Every child is a different kind of flower and all together make this world a beautiful garden.”

November 14 is the day to celebrate childhood. Marked in remembrance of India’s first Prime Minister Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru, who was born on November 14, Children’s Day is the occasion when everyone on Seth AnandramJaipuria School, Alambagh campus, gears up to have some unbridled fun and frolic. The celebrations this year were no different.

The celebrations began with the morning assembly which was conducted by the teachers, followed by variety of fun-filled activities and games planned for children by the teachers. The tiny tots of preschool and the pre-primary wing were overjoyed. They took part in fun races to flaunt their speed.

The Principal of the School, Ms. GunjanDanani, blessed the students with her motivating words. She told them the importance of this day.The teachers made Children’s Day special by involving themin various games. As a token of love, all the children were given some refreshments.The students were overwhelmed and enjoyed the day.

Celebrations such as Children’s Day are occasions to strengthen bond between teachers and students. Children also develop new friendships. They participate collectively in fun activities which contribute towards their social-emotional development.
