Dussehra Celebration 2024
The important thing is to teach a child that good can always triumph over evil.
On the auspicious occasion of Dussehra, Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Alambagh Campus, organized a vibrant and culturally enriching celebration under the guidance of our esteemed Principal, Mrs. Gunjan Danani. The event, held with much enthusiasm and joy, aimed to instill the values of victory of good over evil and the teachings of the Ramayana in the young minds of the Pre-Primary section. The celebration commenced with the little ones dressed up as iconic characters from the Ramayana – Ram, Sita, and Lakshman. Their adorable costumes and enthusiastic participation brought the epic to life in a visually delightful manner. The children showcased their knowledge of the characters through their attire and demeanor, fostering a sense of cultural pride and awareness. One of the highlights of the event was the Dandiya dance performance, where the students, holding colorful sticks, danced to traditional tunes. Their synchronized movements and energy were a spectacle to watch, filling the air with festive cheer and excitement. The dance not only entertained but also emphasized the importance of teamwork and coordination. Following the Dandiya, the students were treated to a Puppet Show based on the Ramayana. Through the engaging puppet characters, the epic story of Lord Ram, Sita, and the defeat of the demon king Ravana was narrated in an enjoyable and child-friendly manner. The puppet show, full of vibrant colors and voices, captivated the children, teaching them important moral lessons through the story. The event concluded with the symbolic Ravan Dahan, a traditional act of burning the effigy of Ravana to signify the triumph of good over evil. The students watched in awe as the effigy was lit, leaving a lasting impression of the festival’s significance. Overall, the Dussehra celebration in the Pre-Primary section was a resounding success, leaving the students with not only a fun-filled experience but also a deeper understanding of their cultural heritage. The involvement of the young children in such activities played a key role in nurturing their moral and ethical development.
The entire event was organized with great precision and creativity, thanks to the leadership of Mrs. Gunjan Danani, whose vision made this celebration memorable for both the students and the teachers. The joy and enthusiasm exhibited by the little ones were a testament to the event’s success, making it a day to remember for all.
